Door's Open Winnipeg happened on a bright and sunny day on Saturday September 11, 2021. Guided tours at the museum started at 11:00 am and ran every 30 minutes, with the last tour at 3:30 p.m. Many visitors came by to climb inside a streetcar, enjoy a 1950s kitchen, and discover the rich history of electricity and hydroelectric plants in Manitoba. Many also went down to see our new Sustainable Development exhibit that showcase how Hydropower contributes to the goals of sustainability. In the conference room, visitors were in awe with the Van der Graaf demonstration, while children of all ages had their hands busy with our activities station.

This year's Door's Open was a huge success and we would like to thank Heritage Winnipeg who organized the event, as well as the amazing visitors that came to the museum to have fun with us! Furthermore, special thanks to all our volunteers that helped the museum during this event!

We look forward to seeing everyone again next year for Door's Open!
